The Brief
Auditoria were engaged to oversee the complete audio experience across a three-day celebration in Jamnagar, India, commemorating the pre-wedding of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant. Working with DNA and LarMac, the brief was to deliver pristine, immersive sound in numerous bespoke venues, including a purpose-built arena, a glasshouse, several outdoor stages, and a multi-zone temple venue. Each space had its own creative identity, but all shared the same expectations, world-class audio without compromise.
The Challenge
The sheer scale and ambition of the event made it truly unique. With limited time from concept to delivery, our challenge was to develop reliable, high-quality systems for venues that often didn’t exist at the time of initial design.
Key challenges included:
- Unpredictable Speech Locations: We were told Mr or Mrs Ambani could speak from anywhere, at any time. The audio system had to maintain localisation, coherent timing and clarity, wherever that happened.
- No Permanent Structures: In the arena, no existing rigging infrastructure meant a catenary suspension system was required to span enormous distances and delicately balance the weight of audio, lighting, and scenic elements.
- Diverse Venues: From a jungle-themed temple to an open-air carnival ground, each environment required a bespoke design sensitive to aesthetics, sightlines, and ground conditions.
- Limited Local Availability: While we leaned on local suppliers where possible, the sheer scale and complexity of the various systems required several specialist loudspeaker and control systems to be sourced internationally to meet our design and redundancy requirements.
Our Approach
Auditoria’s involvement began at the concept stage, although timelines were tight throughout. Our strategy was to create tailored audio systems for each venue, using modelling software to build robust designs and translate these into practical solutions using available inventory on the ground.
We took a modular, venue-specific approach:
- Arena: An ambitious front L-ISA system, one of the first of its kind in India, was deployed to support performances by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and Cirque du Soleil.
- Other Venues: We opted for low-profile, distributed systems wherever possible, including immersive multichannel soundscapes and clever nearfield solutions for tricky stage setups. As well as several bespoke concert stage arrangements.
In each space, our team worked collaboratively with production, scenic, lighting, and video departments to ensure our designs stayed discreet and visually harmonious.

- Central SB18 subwoofers and additional flown sub support
- Central in-the-round PA system (A15 arrays and SB18) suspended from dedicated structure for reinforcement of centre stage performance and speeches.
- 24 X8 rear surrounds for room engine and effects
- SB28 subwoofers built into the grandstand for VIP low frequency reinforcement

The Results
Despite the complexities and pace of delivery, the audio across all venues met the very high expectations set by the client and their guests. From Rihanna’s headline set to traditional ceremonies and orchestral performances, each moment was met with clarity, impact, and perfect delivery.
The Arena, in particular, delivered a level of immersive quality rarely seen at this scale, with the L-ISA configuration drawing particular praise. Other venues achieved elegant integration of technology into beautiful environments, maintaining the immersive, luxurious feel of the event throughout.
